Why Recycle Cell Phones?
- It’s an easy way to help the Canadian Diabetes Association raise funds. The Canadian Diabetes Association receives a monetary contribution for EACH AND EVERY cell phone donated. Cell phones donated to the program can be non-functional or in working condition, complete with accessories or the handset only.
- It helps to protect our environment - by eliminating solid and toxic waste, which would otherwise enter our landfills if the cell phones are not recycled, reused or properly disposed of. (As cell phones and their rechargeable batteries contain many hazardous and toxic materials.)
- It helps recover valuable and reusable resources – parts, components, metals and plastics.
