Clothesline

We want the things you don’t and we’ll come right to your door to get them!

Clothesline® is the Canadian Diabetes Association’s clothing and household item collection program. Each year, through the Clothesline program, over 42 million kilograms of materials are diverted from landfill sites across Canada. Items accepted for collection include clothing, linens, dishes, toys, furniture* as well as knick-knacks.

Help us ‘sew’ the seeds of hope this spring…

This May, the Canadian Diabetes Association’s Clothesline® program is collecting donations of reusable clothing and small household items in support of diabetes research, education, advocacy and public awareness.  When you are spring-cleaning this year, think of Clothesline®.  Hope comes in many forms. We hope you will join us in helping the 2.4 million Canadians who are living with diabetes today.

In fact, individuals can call 1-800-505-5525 to schedule a free pick-up and donate right from the convenience of their home.  This is your opportunity to help the Association and the environment.  The 42 million kilograms of clothing and household items diverted from our landfills translate into a savings of 766 million kWh of energy while reducing the carbon footprint of our donors by 105 million kilograms of C02 emissions.

Remember to tell your family and friends!

And now cell phones and PDAs can be donated to the Clothesline program!
