Clinical & Scientific Section Membership
Functions of the Clinical & Scientific Section
- Representation of clinicians and scientists on various Canadian Diabetes Association (CDA) councils and committees concerned with advocacy, service, professional development and research.
- Organization of the annual CDA/CSEM Joint Professional Conference and Annual Meeting.
- Presentation of the annual Young Scientist Award for outstanding diabetes research in Canada. Selection and presentation of the annual Gerald S. Wong Service Award for outstanding service and contribution to people with diabetes.
- Organization of continuing medical education activities in diabetes mellitus for clinicians and scientists. Maintenance of a close liaison with the Diabetes Educator Section of the Canadian Diabetes Association.
